How to Report a Crime

Life Threatening Emergencies or Crimes in Progress

Call 911 within Garden City or Ada County

The purpose of the 911 Emergency Telephone System is to provide for the immediate response of Police, Fire, or Medical personnel for emergency occurrences. To accomplish this, it is imperative that the calls received on 911 lines be restricted to those situations that require immediate dispatching of Police, Paramedic, or Fire Department personnel.

Non-Emergency Situations

Non-emergency lines are for crimes in progress or other situations that require police response, but is non-life threatening (loud parties, a group of juveniles loitering in front of your home, neighbor disputes, etc). Non-emergency numbers are listed below.

Crime Reports

Citizens may file a written crime report or property damage accident report by meeting with Records Personnel at the Garden City Police Department, 301 East 50th Street, in Garden City. The Records Division offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, excluding recognized holidays.
